PBIC Monthly Update: January Recap

We’re excited to share all that PBIC has been up to over the past month!

Supporting Our Community: PBIC Advice and Guidance Services

Our advice team provided assistance to 272 individuals in January, handling a total of 449 cases. We remain committed to helping our community overcome challenges and access the resources they need. The top areas of support this month included:

  • Benefits advice and guidance: We offered vital information and practical support and helped individuals navigate application processes.
  • Homelessness and housing support: Our team continued to assist those facing housing insecurity, helping them secure stable accommodations and providing ongoing support for those in temporary housing.
  • Careers guidance: We supported job seekers with advice on job searches, applications, and career development.

Return to Luton: Crisis Drop-In Sessions

We were thrilled to hold Crisis Drop-Ins at the Luton Irish Forum this month. These sessions offer immediate, on-the-spot support for those facing urgent challenges. If you or someone you know would like to attend, please check our drop in page for upcoming dates.

Exciting News: Healing Hearts with Art Returns!

After the successful conclusion of the Healing Hearts with Art project in December, we are delighted to announce its return! Thanks to funding confirmation, we will continue delivering weekly art workshops till March.

The workshops, led by Art School Tsymbal, will resume on February 8th at 10am with a special painting on easel masterclass. The workshop will be held at our office: 90-92 Bromham Road, Bedford, MK40 2QH.

Ongoing Crisis Support at PBIC

Our team continues to stand by those in need, providing essential crisis support services to help migrants navigate difficult times and find stability. Whether it’s a housing emergency, financial challenge, or other crisis, we are here to help.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our activities this month! Your engagement makes everything we do possible. A special thanks to our funders, whose generous contributions allow us to offer these services free of charge.
