Matrix Accreditation at PBIC

Matrix Accreditation at PBIC

Since 2011, PBIC has proudly held the Matrix Accreditation, a quality standard awarded by the Department for Education (DfE) to ensure high-quality Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) services. Matrix Accreditation not only reinforces our commitment to service excellence but also affirms that PBIC’s work meets standards in helping clients navigate complex life challenges.

What is the Matrix Standard?

The Matrix Standard is a quality framework that assesses and accredits organisations delivering IAG services. Managed by the Growth Company on behalf of the DfE, it applies to IAG services across diverse fields, including education, employability, career advice, and support for health and well-being.

How Matrix Accreditation Benefits PBIC’s Clients

Matrix Accreditation is essential because it confirms that PBIC consistently delivers services to the highest standard. By following the Matrix Standard, we are committed to ongoing improvement, ensuring that our support is effective, compassionate, and meets our clients’ needs in a holistic way. This accreditation process encourages us to keep refining our approach, making sure we’re attentive and responsive to each individual’s circumstances.

One key aspect highlighted in our latest assessment was the recognition of the deep trust and active listening that PBIC provides to its clients. As the report notes, “There were two words that were consistently repeated throughout the assessment, these were ‘listening/listen’ and ‘trust’. There is a recognition of the level of listening that is overwhelmingly appreciated by clients; and the trust was mentioned by both clients and partners as a key aspect of their relationship with PBIC.” This trust is fundamental to the effectiveness of our services and the supportive, meaningful relationships we build with those we serve.

Here are some client reflections from our latest report

  • “It was a question of life and death, they saved me from depression – it was step by step, I was given help”
  • “Without PBIC I wouldn’t be able to do anything – they are so supportive and welcoming.”
  • “You are guided and helped to know what to do next [described support to access mainstream services]”

Looking Ahead to Our Annual Review

Our upcoming Matrix Continuous Improvement Check this December will provide another opportunity to review our progress, identify new goals, and continue developing our service quality. This annual check is essential to ensuring we stay true to our mission of supporting migrants and maintaining the standards that our clients and partners have come to expect. Each review offers valuable insights into how we can improve and sustain a meaningful impact for our community.

At PBIC, Matrix Accreditation is not just a certification; it’s a framework that strengthens our commitment to the people we serve.
